Okay as I had posted in earlier threads, the only EBMM I have played, in music stores, have been Stingrays. I understand that the neck profile of the 25th is more like a Bongo, which I have never seen except in pictures. So what are the differences, wider, thicker, thinner, not that it matters too much because I'm gonna love it regardless since I have bought it ;) I would just like to hear some input about it. I do know that the Anniversary has an unfinished neck unlike the Bongo, but that is about all I know. Also never having purchased a EBMM, will it come from the factory needing very little if any set up? I know my dealer is very capable but I am just once again curious. :D

Dude, my 25th plays like a dream. That neck is to die for. I love the Bongo neck but the 25th feels even better. I think is is the fact that it is not painted. I can clearly state that you will love it :)

It is a fast feeling neck. Very smooth -- like butta

I love the 25th neck... it is the most comfortable thing I have ever played. For me it is better than my Stingray... and that may even be in my head... I can't tell you about any technical differences, but I am very much with Ant on this one.... you will love the heck out of it.

It is unfinished, and it just feels "right" to me. I honestly don't know why or what it is.... I think it might just be Music Man Mojo! :)

+1 I haven't found the need to do a set up on any new MM, I've had 7 in the last 2 years. They are the most stable basses I've ever played. The neck width on the 25th is the same at the nut 1 & 3/4" as the SR5 but at the last fret the 25th is 2 & 13/16ths where the SR5 is 2 3/4 so the 25th's a 1/16th " wider, the Bongo is the same as the 25th but feels different as it's a 24 fret bass.
They all are a 34" scale and all have an 11" radius. On every thing but the Bongo, while they feel unfinished have gun oil and the MM secret wax on them.
Is doesn't get any smoother. You are in for major treat, the 25th is way over the top.
