When this bass was ordered for the customer, he specified that he didn't want any birdseye in the neck. Evidently my superb sales rep AJ kicked in the 49 cents for me, because the bass came through with this beauty.

And, it turns out that the customer canceled his order, so the bass is available

This one also showed up today, but without any visible birdseye... I'm betting if you dig, you can find some :D

Those are the last of the Blue Dawn basses we have available, so if you missed the wagon you have a chance to jump on it now!

So the other day I was at the local GC trying out overdrive pedals.

The resident Bongo was out of reach, so I grabbed an HS Sterling to use.

The sound was good.

Really good.

Really, really, really good.

And I can tell you from first-hand experience that the Blue Dawn finish not only does not photograph well, it is unbelievable in real life.

Somebody buy it.

You Will Not Be Sorry.

(Oh, and WTF not wanting birdseye????? Eye of the beholder, I guess.)

Damn. I did not need to see that Bongo.

Just when I thought I was over Blue Dawn.

(waiting for the BFR, waiting for the BFR....)

Well, I just had to wake this back up in case you were having second thoughts about the Blue Dawn :D

Argh. Believe me, I've had second (and third) thoughts about the Blue Dawn, and I'm seriously torn. But I'd have to sell my stealth first, and this is not a good time for me to be spending money on a new bass.

Argh. Stupid responsibilities.

Hey Mugsy,

It's almost Christmas time!! So, you'll be spending the money on something anyway, why not a "blue" something??:)

How about a "blue" Christmas (ya know the Elvis tune!)

Pete,

Start "wrapping" it!

Should be a real good deal on that Sterling, seeing as how it's defective, right? :p

Wish I had the money. I'm holding out for a Pac. Blue Burst with a birdseye neck, but I'd be very tempted.

Oh you cruel man, Mr. DuBaldo. That's got to be the perfect Sterling. Seeing it pine away for an owner tugs at my soul and reminds me of my all-too-empty wallet. :(
