With all due respect to "Lovechick" for that quote...

I just snagged a '93 SSS Pinkburst Al off the 'bay. And I'm glad I started with a large initial bid, there were a couple of snipers that came in during the last minute and tried to take it.

Once I take delivery I'll get some pics of it ASAP. Hot damn I am psyched...

So Mike, there ya go, you're right!! I talk about Hooter's and I get a guitar. :D

It's a good day in the neighborhood.

Glenn,
I had some wiggle room there. That was just my automatic bid kicking in and upping the last bid by $10. I went in with an initial bid of $1100. It got close though.

Yeah, I'm really psyched about this one. It's a cool guitar.

I'll let you know when it gets here.

have a good weekend... I know I will. :D

Is there any way of looking at the Ebay AL listing now that it's closed ?

It's wierd, I just looked at the pictures of your EVH, and in particular the picture of the back of the neck.
It's like an eye test "Sir look at these images and tell me what you see?"
I see "28" written in birdseye !!!
I think I'll go down the pub now !!!!!!!!

Yup - it worked. Thanks.
It looks sooooo sooooo nice.
It's a great guitar for playing the blues - those pickups are versatile, great for picking too.
Let us know how it feels and compares to your other guitars - it's become my #1 but took a little time to get there.
Cheers

Kevin,
Thanks! I really like that color and the fact that it's a first year of production guitar. I played one in SLO during the Open House and really liked it so I've been watching and waiting.

I'm picturing it becoming my "Pink Floyd" guitar... I've been on a Gilmour tear the past few weeks.

Should sound just great = I started doing some Jeff Beck stuff last week on mine and the trem was great for doing it.
My ultimate aim is to get a second hand AL in the states with P90's and bring it back over.
I have family in StLouis/Morton/Chicago and need to visit them.
That's a great touch buying the "first year of production"guitar.
I'll have to find out when they first produced the AL with the MM90's and try to track one of those down.
The pub becons .............

The good stuff from the 70's, I hope...and not from his last 3 or 4 albums. ;)

He's lost me with the techno.

Hey fred, nice going. Hope you love the Albert when it arrives.

Just got back after a couple of pints of the "Liffy Water" (Guinness)
You are so right.
Blow by Blow, Truth, Wired -all great albums.
Trouble is I'm gonna have to learn the "whole" song not just licks/tricks from some of them

Congrats on the AL

All this talk by new AL owners is making me incredibly anxious

The wait is killing me, time to go celebrate St. Patty's day with a dozen or so Heinekens and/or Guinness
