Help! The B saddle on my MM Floyd Rose is too tight to take a string...

The B saddle on my MM Floyd Rose is too tight to take a string...I just had to pull out the old B string with a pair of locking pliers.
I unscrewed the string lock screw and removed it. I removed the saddle and the string lock block seems frozen inside the saddle. I can't get the tip of the B string in there.
I was using Ernie Ball 9's and I'm restringing with the same Super Slinkys. Please help me...

I've had this happen to me on an older Floyd (non EBMM). I had overtightened it, it cracked slightly in place and made it difficult to get out. Once out, I use used a replacement block in there.

That said ... your best bet is to contact MM customer service, they can advise you on what to do.

FYI - WD40 will attract grime, use some graphite and just open it with a sewing needle or similar - I do it all the time.

wd40 will make it hard to hold a string once you fix it please contact customer service

Problem solved...no WD-40, I just lightly tapped the block with a tiny screwdriver until it opened enough to accept the string. Thanks everyone.

Just a suggestion...I buy the titanium stuff (that I can afford) for my Floyds. go to floydupgrades.com they've got titanium string blocks (as well as titanium replacement parts for just about every other FR component) that are far superior to any stock floyd block. Since I put them in ALL of my floyds, I've never had that problem you are describing again.
