I just had to launch this thread to put a guitar on a pedestal that is long overdue for a celebration. These guitars can be had for really unbelievable prices these days. IMHO that is just because the owner's don't know what they have. If you have overlooked one of these I would offer that I have truly found them to be exceptional in every way, and you may find the same :)

Tone. Exhibit A: Whole Lotta Rosey

I totally agree. Some very lucky person just picked one up on Ebay for less than $900! Wow. The rosewood neck is very special indeed. I love mine!

Thank you for this thread.....

I know that the problem is that the diehards cannot afford to keep everything that they buy with the new candy coming out.....BUT

These are going to end up being among the rarest of what we have made unless embargos are lifted and gas goes back to fity cents per gallon. This is a collectors piece that sound fantastic and is elegantly beautiful.

I'm going to nab one of these before too long. One slipped by on Ebay for about $650 a short time ago. I couldn't believe it.

It's odd that they are selling as low as they do. Guess it's just not mainstream enough. Shame really.

I saw that one too, couldn't believe it - after I saw that I felt guilty for not throwing a lowball bid at it....

..in addition to my previous post i MUST add that this is by far the best sounding guitar i have ever played..

..i stick with my two silo twins for diverse other reasons ánd prefer the wider neck of the silo but these are really round, growling, jazzy and much much heavy guitars if you let them be like this..

..also i absolutely love the rosewood neck for its looks..

..regarding big poppas post mine is now not for sale..:D

I agree with the previous post, my ASS hardtail with hums is one of THE BEST sounding guitars I've ever played, period. Whenever I play it, I always think of a piano. It's always in the Top Three in the rotation :). I have an all-rosewood Axis as well that gets almost zero playing time, which is a shame...it's awesome as well.
