Everytime I put my SUB Ray4 in my softcase and take it somewhere, it squeeks up a storm! What's up with that! I never had issues with my Squier Jag, and tried it again just to test, and no dice. Removed the strap too, still squeeking. What's different between the two bodies that causes squeakage? And how do I solve it?

I don't know that bag but the bass shouldn't cause the squeaking. Have you checked around the metal rings where the straps attach? That's about the only place I could imagine squeaking coming from.

What do you mean by squeaking? Could it be the poly finish that squeaks against the synthetic fabric in the gig bag, as opposed to a non-squeaking nitro finish? (Just a wild guess, for all I know there's no difference in squeakiness between poly and nitro, and for all I know your Squier jag is poly too.)

Wrap the upper part of the ax in a cotton pillow case or suchlike.
If no result, switch to wrapping the body. What solution derives
from what result ? Beats me, but it does seem like any easy way
to possibly get information which oughta be helpful somehow.
