Hey everyone, thought I'd also share some photos of my new DD2 BFR JP6. As others have mentioned; the finish looks amazing in person, the pickups sound perfect, the ebony fretboard is super smooth....I can't say enough about it :D
I ordered the guitar from Pete (who I probably annoyed by the time it shipped with my status requests...sorry bro!) - he was awesome- when I placed my order I asked if he could get a backplate signed by JP when JP was at the shop for the Meet and Greet and he came through- thanks again Pete! Anyone have any specific recommendations on a spray lacquer that won't lift or damage the ink? I'd like to keep the backplate on the guitar but don't want to risk rubbing the signature off...
I tried playing with different lighting angles to get the different shades, somewhat successful:rolleyes:

The pickguard can be sprayed by a professional with a few layers of lacquer, I had my son's guitar done that way to prevent the Steve Vai sig from disappear from the back of the headstock. If done well you won't even feel the lacquer.

Nice shots, Brandon! Those colors go so well together. Now I gotta figure out a way to get that OG JP7 off your hands...
