Went to see The Darkness last night (ROCK)! Awesome gig, lead singer entered the arena riding on a giant pair of flying breasts. Well, if the opportunity is there...

Back on topic, the bass player was switching between two black/black Sterlings. One maple and one rosewood (probably so he could tell the differently tuned basses apart!) He clearly has good taste! He was also playing an acoustic bass for some of the "mellower" choons, but not enough of an expert to name it. Just thought I'd mention the spotting. My girlfriend saw him enter the stage first and said "Isn't that a Stingray?" I'm so proud, she was close enough! Great gig, lots of fire, throat is choppy from trying to hit those high notes when singing along. If you get the chance, I'd highly recommend it (if it is "your thing").

Ha-ha, I've been watching Rock School and didn't realize The Darkness were from Lowestoft. Kinda surprised it's never been mentioned on the show, seeing as it's all about becoming a Rock Star in order to escape the place (apparently the ONLY way out)!

So there's a possibility Justin and co. refined their skills playing under the local pier? Rockin'!

Awesome. An excellent band. I had heard that their original bass player had departed. Apparently he took his G1bson Thunderbirds with him!

Glad to see some EB rockin with the Darkness.

I saw Top of The Pops last week live from Torino in the snow of the Winter Olympics. Afterwards I couldn't remember which band I saw where the bass player was using a MM - Thanks for the reminder.

I "like" the idea of The Darkness although I would not go to see them as "ROCK" is not my thing, but I think Justin is hysterical.

Our band always use one of his quotes from the film of the making of the last BAND AID single.

He and some female rapper where just about to launch into the recording of their vocal duet lines when somesome stopped the take. When they told Justin and the rapper that they had to pause the take his reply was

"Oh what a shame, I was just going to throw some of my best gold at that!" - Quality comment.

In the same film when asked where we was from he replied

"Lowestoft.................... Home of ROCK"

Comedy Genius - not to be underrated!
