I am certainly not wanting to open old wounds, so please take this in the spirit is in written in.

I have to say a sincere "thank you" to those who made it possible for me to get this Dargie bass. There were certainly a couple of weeks that we would all prefer to forget about, but I appreciate the way BP and Scott and the whole EBMM crew came through for me in the end.

It is a beautiful bass, but its meaning to me goes way beyond how it looks or plays. It stands for a company that made sure that a customer got treated right, period. All of my equipment is fair game, and may eventually be sold or traded on my foolish whims, but nobody will EVER pry this one away from me. Guaranteed.

Sincerely,

Rex

That really is great news, Rex. Glad it worked out. I too am very impressed how BP and Music Man stepped up, going above and beyond, to make right a wrong situation. I bought my Darige in the midst of all that went down. Witnessing how MM took care of their customers on this one left me feeling very happy I was able to support them by buying one of their basses new.

Most awesome tyrannosaurus suffix. Most awesome. Keep that baby close. Very close. So close you have to worry about extremities getting pinched. :eek: :D

:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

5 coolios to you.

and 5 more to BP and the gang:

Wow a 2 band Dargie....(drool drool drool)! Congrats Silverburst, it's beauty and now sentimental...it's definitely my ideal dream DD.

So then in actuality, there were five 2eq DD's made. Original count list said three:
-2 fretted with matching headstock (one went to germany, the other I requested through Bass Central and like an idiot turn it down, then missed the 2nd time)
-1 fretless matching headstock that Fred E has
-2 fretted non matching heastock (Silverburst has this one, the other one was offered up twice which I missed too, and Jack said sold to a guy in NorCal)

Hey Rex,

You dont have to worry about opening old wounds. The Pit and the banned from every bass forum on the planet idiot are doing a good job right now on the pit.

I've kept my end of the bargin and tried to let things die and move on but the bear is being poked again.

That's nice, Rex. That's apparently the same configuration--if not the same bass--that I was supposed to end up with (I bought out the deposit from someone else & really didn't know what was ordered other than a 2 band SR). I somehow ended up with an unlined fretless, matching headstock 2 bander. I am 100% happy with what I got (& it will get more playing time being an unlined fretless), but after seeing yours, I would have been pretty pleased with that one as well.
