Although I still have to get my hands on the first 3 to try them out, my next EBMM basses will be:

25th Anniversary (regular production model)
4HSS Cabernet Pearl with matching head stock and pick guard.
Combo Change: Replace with clear pick guard.

BIG-AL
White with matching head stock and white pearloid pick guard.
Combo Change: None

Stirling by Musicman Ray35
Honeyburst with matching head stock and black pearloid pick guard.
Combo Change: None

Stingray
4HS Graphite pearl with matching head stock and black pick guard.
Combo Change: Replace with clear pick guard.

Now where did I put those lotto tickets?!?:D

What are your next dream EBMMs?

A Bongo IS in my future.

Probably distant.

But if some dude just handed me 20 grand, I'd(after buying an amp) buy my first Bongo, my second 'Ray, my first sterling, my second sterling, my second bongo, then a 25th and a big al. most of them would be natural, stealth, orange, or pacific blue burst.

Oh and a couple 'Ray 35's and 34's to show my friends and take to crap gigs and stuff.

not necessarily in that order, but the first bongo comes first.

I'm buying a Big Al this year config'd as follows if I order one;

- Vintage Sunburst
- Matching headstock
- Rosewood fretboard
- Black pickguard (might go with Black Pearloid)

I might end up with one that's been ordered for store stock if I like the colour combination.

I'm hoping that the production model 25th won't have a pickguard.

You have really nice basses. It's cool that you're still planning ahead for new toys. :D

Somewhere down the line, my next bass will be a fretless SR5, either a used one from the earliest days of the SR5 ('87-'93 or so), or a more recent model with a piezo bridge.

I'm pretty happy with the two Stingrays I presently own. Between the both of them I can pretty much cover anything the music gods can throw at me.

I would like to see a LTD run of black Stingrays with the ebony board and a birdseye maple neck.

If not that maybe a rosewood neck Bongo 4 banger Hp or H.

25th Rosewood Fretted 4-string HSS Quilt-top... this is all but ordered.

...and then eventually a Bongo or Sterling HSp 4-string... not quite sure yet. I haven't spent any time on a Sterling, but I hear good things. The Bongo will probably win, but I'm keeping an open mind.

The Big Al probably sounds amazing, but hate me for it or not, I just don't dig the aesthetics.

You know, at first I didn't like the looks of it. But then I saw video of Molly P. Playing it at NAMM. Don't know if it was how it looked on her or what but I started digging it. The part that was throwing me off was the shape of the pick guard contrasted to the shape of the body.

Then it dawned on me White with white pearloid pick guard would soften the contrast. Boingggggg!!! Now the image in my brain is "Oh, baby!!!"

What are your next dream EBMMs?

Music Man Bongo 4 HH Stealth
Music Man Bongo 4 HSP Fretless (preferrably a Dargie)
Music Man Big-Al SSS (maybe in... Blue Ice?)
Music Man 25th HH or HSS with quilted top, can't decide, so I'll surely miss the order window...
Music Man StingRay5 20th Anniversary (all Maple Neck) -- yup, the only 5er I'd want to have...

...and all this dreaming goes on while my Ebony order didn't even arrive yet...

Stingray5 HH with a maple board and (currently unavailable) Amethyst Burst finish...hopefully, that can be an option for the 2010 model year, by which time I MIGHT be ready to step up into a fiver...

Unfortunately no Fretless Dargie 4 Bongos with Piezos exist... I was lusting for the same.
