I did this a while back, but we have WAY more members now, so in my boredom I decided to give it a whirl again.

On any given day I may think of an EBMM bass Ive owned and sold/traded and wish I had hung on to it.

However, there are two that haunt me much more than the 20 or 30 others. These two leave me kicking myself every time I think back to selling them.

They were my Desert Gold Bongo 5 (Single H), and one of two White Sparkle Sterlings.

So I want to hear what EBMM bass you let go, and wish you had kept.

Pics of my two lost loves:

Those are two great basses!!!!!
Still wish I had my early '90s SR4 (white/maple/nonmatching-3 band) - thinking about the Fndr I traded it for makes me ill.

I sometimes get little pangs of regret about the 2000 SR4 black sparkle 2 band, but I really don't have any regrets.

I have better basses right now than I could ever deserve.

And my 30th SR4 arrives in two days. Whoop!

My secret longing is an EB-era Sabre that I had awhile back. Prices are shooting up so it's unlikely I'll get another but I remember it fondly. I've had a lot of Sabres and that was the best of them.

The only one I *really* miss is the graphite pearl (or egyptian smoke, whatever that one was) SR4 I traded Jack a while back. That thing just sounded good, even if it weighed as much as a medium sized dog.

Jack-san, do you know who has that one now?

There are a few others I'd gladly let back into bed, like the Blue Dawn/Maple Sterling I had a while back, or the '93 Honeyburst Ray, but the GPRay...oh well...

In memoriam...

honeyburst Sterling H. It was an early one I got from Scott (Armybass) several years ago. Should have kept that one....

Ooo, that one DID sound good. I have no real recollection of where it went, though.

Some young guy who wasn't concerned about weight or maybe didn't do four hour gigs?

Wait, I had it written down - Matt Roeser got that one!
