Is the EBMM Bongo. There is no question about it. I have never had a bass that I have enjoyed this much.

I got my Bongo 5HH yesterday. I had it sent to my work address and when I opened it both of the women that work in the front office could not stop talking about how great the bass looked. I have had a few basses shipped there and they never have reacted this way.

I went and plugged the bass up and really loved the sound of it. I was really digging the pre amp and the ability to shape everything! Low mid, high mid, treble, and bass. It's got a SUPER powerful preamp and sounds wonderful. Unfortunately I had to go to a night class so I left and came back later that night for band practice. I was looking forward to utilizing the 4 band pre at band practice. This is for my church's Sunday morning service. I set the Pre flat and I didn't adjust it all night. Worked perfectly and was very "supportive" of the mix. Also, the low B is to die for!

I guess I was a bass snob before. I didn't want a bass made of basswood, even though I've had a couple that have sounded great. Just the stigma of listening to people with opinions I guess. The Bongo is great, basswood and all!

The Bongo is perfect for me even though it has a combination of things that I never sought out in a bass:
1. Basswood body
2. 17.5mm spacing (thought I had to have 19)
3. A painted neck
4. Odd body shape

The bass play well, looks great, sounds amazing, and is rock solid.

I couldn't be happier!!!

I'll +1 that women LOVE the color. Perfect bass? Nope but I really love how warm it is vs other EBMM. I was looking for warmth first in a Big Al but got it in a Bongo. I wouldn't pick the Bongo for punk rock or a cover band vs my Sterling HH though. Keep rocking the congregation bro

What color is this? I've been told about 3 different colors.

Great. Just what we need - another bongoloid. :D

Hey congrats mbp. I have to admit, that shore is a purdy color. Hmmm, I wonder how she'd sound in a cajun band.

Ask the serial number guy, the year will give the best clue if he can't name the color

An HH Bongo (Mine's 4-string fretted) has a POWER over Women...; more so than any other bass guitar on the market.
A shade of red may have an edge over other finishes, but nonetheless.
Current HH owners already know this; potential buyers- Be advised- If you're going to play out with the bass, get PLENTY of rest beforehand-

My BFR HH slays **** every time I take it out. It's an unbelievable bass. I can't believe I almost sold it... glad I came to my senses. Now I just need to get a 6HH.

Congrats on taking possession of a classic, love to see more HH's in the fold, sure looks like Candy Red to me, the Bongo obliterates all preconceived notions once you play one.

She'd sound like she does in every other band. Great!

Yea, I'm totally fine with dudes not liking it. As long as the ladies think it's sharp!

Ray, glad you're keeping that Bongo. It is indeed a sweet axe. :) Go with the Sky Blue six!

I love four strings & would NOT get a bongo 4... too much EQ for a 4 string. Sterling HH with pickup selector & 3 band EQ, nice
I do like the Classic 2 band EQ series too... all get the nod over the Bongo in the 4 for myself.
Bongo 5 EASILY wins. I actually really disliked a Stingray HH 5 last one I tried it but that could be the match up with a GK head & a GK cab... those 3 don't play nice, good individually though.
