My buddy Dan helped me install a new hanger system because let's face it, I had way too many basses on the floor in stands. Danger! You get to a certain point and you can easily fall over them. So we made martinis, broke out the power tools and this is what happened.
These are not all my EBMM basses, but rather what happened to be in the studio this weekend.
Top left to right:
1. 20th Anniversary SR5 with rather special top. Best Stingray 5 on earth, I promise. There are other 20th SR5s, but this one is one of a kind.
2. Flaming Biff Bongo 4HH, which I have been playing rather a lot lately. One of a kind, built for me by BP and the guys way back when Bongos were considered "unusual". (Sterling, revisiting this bass years afterward at my house: "You know, this is really a pretty good bass." )
3. Reflex 5HSS in Lamborghini Orange Burst. One of a kind? Sure! The one I grab these days when headed out to annoy people with live music.
4. Black Sapphire Bongo 5HH. One of the first Bongos and needs a new jack as I've abused it over the years in beer-stinky bars and so on. It converted a lot of non-believers and will never leave me.
Bottom left to right:
1. A F%nd%er which is not really mine anymore so don't even try it. (Good Hwy 1 P-bass, though.)
2. Big Al 5H in Sterling Silver with matching headstock. Yes, it rocks.
3. SBMM Ray34ca in Mint Green. You don't have one of these? Why not?
Yes, I realize how lucky I am.
Someday, Heinz will hang there again.
Isn't this fun?
Jack
