Well my new Sterling HS arrived earlier this week and it is indeed one helluva bass. It's been said before but the EB single coil really is something special.I was expecting something similar to my SR4HH but the HS really brings someting completely different to the table. Unless I needed a five string I think I could cover just about anything with this bass. The really neat thing I discovered about my Sterling HS is that it goes to 8! . Besides the normal 5 positions i've found 3 inbetween positions that are just as amazing. I told Arin about this and he said that there was some talk about this kind of thing on the guitar side with the AL but i've never heard anyone mention it on the bass side. Besides the great tones lurking in this bass the PBB finish is probably one of the nicest i've ever seen and the Sterling is just as sleek and comfortable as I remember it.The back of the neck was a little dry so I picked up some Tru-Oil and Wax at the new Bass Pro Shop by my house and gave it the treatment. The neck now feels just like new. This one is definitely a keeper. Heres a few crappy pics........

Just for the uninitiated, Bass Pro Shop is about fish and outdoor activity things. So, Bass = fish, if some people don't know. I think I wouldn't mind checking out the store if it were Bass = instrument, though. Come to think of it, Guitar Pro Shop might be something I'd check out too. :D

I believe the discussion on in-between positions obtainable the guitar 5-way switch has mostly been centered around the Silhouette Special as of late. There may have been some discussion on ALs in the past, but I'm not as familiar with the AL. So, I'm not sure if the AL has in-between positions.

Anyway, great bass, Randy! Super color choice! :D

Randy I love that bass! I've never seen it with a black PG guard - PBB normally has white, and then a maple neck, but I'm loving the rosewood and PG combo :)
