Cool clips.

Great job with bass, AND BGVs Jacko.

I liked the flashy little diddy you threw out on Folsom Prison Wizard.

Very nice indeed.

Excellent bass playing, Jack. And a really cool band you've got there. I just realized that I'm now a CowPilot fan!

That Bongo H punches through the mix, don't it? When I began playing my Bongo H at our last practice the drummer got this big smile on his face. Or maybe he just passed gas, I dunno.

It's got its own voice, doesn't it? Plus we (and I mean all of us) like having the bass right up front in the mix....the soundguy at that club is pretty good and easy to get along with so we try to listen to him, but he did at one point tell me my stage volume was too loud, to turn it down, please.

I did and it sucked. We all felt a little deflated.

So I gave him a "Sorry, can't do it" look and turned it back up.

Like an 18 wheeler through a cardboard wall. Talking about flats is a dangerous proposition around here, but those are flats on that Bongo.

Monster tunes and bass tone. Speaking of flats, I switched to EB flats on my Bongo 5H, don't stand close, you might get hurt.

I'm just sayin'

Exactly like that.

My love and respect for sound guys only goes so far. I'm going to get the sound I want from my bass and my rig. His job is to deal with it!

And if the sound from the little teeny camcorder was better than the board, he had issues anyway.

You guys would have a much better idea what the FOH sound was like. The onstage mix is always weird...but he seemed to be doing okay with FOH, but that was a combination of microphones and stage bleed, whereas the recording off the board was getting mostly the microphones. So the vocals on the tape were REALLY hot and nothing else was, if you know what I mean.

In any case, your teeny camcorder did a very nice job, I think.

You got to hang room mics to go along with the board. I don't think your cab was even mic'd was it?

I should have brought the big camera and mics and stuff, but it was a last minute impulse going out the door.

Roger on the room mics, but it wasn't his fault. He asked me what I wanted to do and I said "The least painful thing" so we ran lines out from the board and called it a day. We ran a line out from the Sunn instead of putting a mic on the cabinet.

More Video of Luke! WHOOOOOPEEEE!

Shhhhh!
