i've been trying out a lot of EB basses lately (musicman basses aer quite plentiful in guitar stores in australia, unlike the guitars) and i've really begun to appreciate the sterling line basses. the sterling models are really fantastic, perhaps someone with more bass experience than I would be able to note differences but in a blindfolded test I would not be able to distinguish a sterling from a usa musicman.

i guess the point of this thread is, dont turn your noses up at the sterling guitars when you see them on display, if they're anything like the basses, they will be of amazing quality and a fantastic financial option :)

I'm sure everyone who has played the Sterling line knows the value of the instruments!!! I said the same thing about the OLP's - great entry level guitar!

I'm with ya man. I was in PA for a week at my in-laws without my guitars and was going nuts. So my bro in law and I drove to Guitar Center in Harrisburg and I rocked out on a Sterling JP for about an hour and a half. Besides needing new strings and the action lowered a little, the guitar was solid man. I was pleasantly suprised and the pickups were great!
