While making my once-a-month rounds through the mall a few weeks ago I noticed a large, orange-ish poster that was occupying the backside of a mall map. Then I noticed that the poster was an advertising ploy of a phone company (one that practically monopolizes the canadian atlantic coast).

The interesting part of the poster was the picture of the dude down at the bottom of the poster, riding a skateboard and playing a Desert Gold EBMM JP6. I didn't notice at first because the image had been reversed, making it seem like a lefty JP but I don't remember seeing one of those ever.

The phone company is making an effort to seem hip and upbeat to their younger customers, but to me it is more of a big stride for Ernie ball where their guitars are featured in ads because the colors are so vibrant and eye catching.

Am I the only one to see balls used in ads or have there been others?

Dunno about that
But all the EB advertising I've EVER seen from the eagle to the ON/ON to the big ol' can a whupass.... have always made me wanna buy EBMM products.

It's something that just stands out over "other" companies, for me it's the thought of - I'm buying something from a company where they're not all called dwight (no offense to any dwights) - not all shirt and tie wearing, bean counting freaks with degrees in marketing and a slight interest in guitars. I'm buying from the "Hardcore" of the guitar world, they go the extra mile....

Praise session over...

Oh Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Looks like it's time to revive the old speech.

***Hear ye, hear ye. Whilst the idea would be glorious for one to receive a JP6 of thine left handed nature, be forewarned that our favorite company doth not see fit to create one for us. Demand be so loweth, that to take on such a grievous task would end in sheer folly. Prithee thee please refrain from suggesting such a ludicrous venture for the powers that be have a mighty full table at thine moment. Good day to all.***

In other words, stop harassing about a left handed JP6! Even the mention of it makes Beth cringe. I sh*t you not! Poor poor Beth. Look what we've done.

P.S. *ahem* left handed Silhouette please. Hahahaha.

Alright, alright. I won't mention the guitar any further.*sorry to arouse you o_O;* But I'm still impressed that the color used in the ad was the Desert Gold. *Almost* makes me want to change my order from Carbon Blue......

Hey Brasco, are you the guy that I hooked up with the LH DD Luke? It was you or some other dude on the forum. I made him aware of the store in British Columbia that had one unclaimed DD Luke. Anyways, how do you like it?

Yep...that's me! I love it...it's my main axe. The most solid, tone filled slab of wood I've ever played. Since I never got a chance to play a Luke before buying one...I took the leap without a net and hoped for the best...and it totally exceeded my expectations.

Once again...major thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It might have been the last left handed Dargie Luke available, and I couldn't be happier.

It is really my favorite Luke color. Like I've said before, I missed one by 15 minutes at DrumCityGuitarland.com

Oh well, My Blue Dawn does just fine!!!!
