You all know that is will be available in all pickup configs have a maple top alnico pickups and THE TONE BLOCK!!!!

Dargie and the boys say tthat the tone block really is great on the bass....

I am going to have to have it sent down for the weekend and drone on the low b and break some glasses on the shelf of my neighbor that is bugging me

BP hanging on the B string. :D

You're killing some of these guys BP. Well Dargie is.

Let's see if it can beat up a single H Bongo 5

Dargin has learned his lessons well. He tortured me a bit a couple of days ago, but it's reassuring to know that he tortures the old man, too.

I wasn't ready to leap on the 30th Anniversary SR4, but what I have been playing almost exclusively for the last few weeks? This is the absolute mofo of all Stingrays, ever - and I've had my fair share of Stingrays over the years, going back to 1977.

To paraphrase BP, "What? You thought we'd put out a bad anniversary model?"

Nah, but I wasn't prepared. Really. You'd think that I, of all people, would have been, but I wasn't.

So this anniversary SR5 - hoo! Backloaded electronics, anyone? Alnico pickups! The magic tone block!

People, get ready - there's a Stingray 5 a' comin', and it ain't like any SR5 we've ever seen before. This is going to be fun!

Pardon my ignorance but what exactly is a tone block?

it started (i think) w/ the 20th Silo. Its an absolute bottle shaped peice of mahogany that's inside the body. its goes from the neck pocket are under the pickups.

thats what i know about it from reading around. essentially, its a secret peice of wood that makes guitars n basses sound badasser

I'll have to spare money and to get some physical training to get one and be able to carry it.

Hmmmm...maple top you say!?
I'm wondering if the SR5 20th is gonna have the same flamed maple top look as the 20th SR4. It sorta is logical that since they are both 20th anniversary models, they might both have the same look.
