UPS just dropped off a SR that i picked-up from TB. It has a crazy birdseye/flame maple neck, but no serial number on the neckplate or bridge? The seller said it was a 96,' but i don't know if he had bought it new or not. I figure with all the knowledgeble people we have on this site, someone could guesstimate the year due to the different logo changes and such. It has very short stems on the tuners compared to my sterling, i had to look at them to see if they had been changed but they look to be orginial too me.
This is my first Ray i've ever owned and a way different feel than my Sterling
but plays very sweet.

awesome looking bass! definitely dont take my word on this cause i have no clue what im talking about. but i think ive seen a few pics where they put the serial on the bottom of the neck, definitely verify that before removing your neck, but it at least might give you a place to start asking about...

I'm with Rex, have another look under the saddles. I have the mirror image of your bass and I too couldn't find the serial number till I loosened the strings and lifted them up. Sure enough there were there.

Beautiful bass!

I love mine.

Yeah i got courious last night i thought the saddles were to far back anyways, so i pulled
the strings, loosened the saddles, and behold a SERIAL number well hidden by the saddles. #D08525 put's it around 97-98'.
Thanks guys, and PW thats a beaut you got there. Hey Silverburst, i got this from Ferg on T.B.in trade for my black/maple p-bass, i think this ones a keeper for sure.
