Placed my order for a trans teal, rosewood, black pg, HH Sterling last week and am now counting down the weeks. I'm a meat/potatoes guy, so no matching headstock or fancy schmancy pickguard. Anyone know if I can get black knobs instead of chrome? Upcharge?

Congrats Jazzmaster (or should we say Sterlingmaster)!

Enjoy the wait - it's a rite-of-passage and worth every minute! :)

Yep I know that waiting feeling.....at least you are not this side of the pond!

But it will be worth it in the end...........

Congratulations!
Try not to look at the time required to craft your bass as “waiting”.

Look at it as “a period of ritualistic expectation of all great sonic fundamental creation.”

“A brief trimester of life that leads to an eternity of aural bliss.”

“A purgatory of salvation transformed to dual humbuckerity heaven.”

I hope that helps, if not there is always alcohol, porn and this place. The wait is well worth it. :D

After waiting three months for my Bongo HH, I've got the patience thing down. Much as I love the Bongo, at my age, comfort is everything, and there's nothing like the comfort of a Sterling neck. The Bongo will still get some play cuz it is freakin' cool, but my left hand can definitely feel the difference. I know. I'm a wuss.

you can order black knobs from EB without having to send them your chrome ones. fyi, they are quite a bit lighter than the chrome ones.
