It's funny how the EBMM colours are never given justice by their photographs.
Everytime I see a new MM with a colour that I've never seen before, I'm amazed how awesome the colour looks in real life.
I mean I have over a 1000 pics of various EBMM guitars and their colours, and no matter how awesome the colour looks in the pic, it looks even better in real life.
This goes equally for the Sub Guitars and Basses with the textured bodies.
I wish I could see all the colours in real life. I'm sure I'd be floored!!! :D :D

BP, keep this in mind when you eventually get to building the new EBMM website! ;)

Colour question for the Factory!!!

I know this would not be exact, but I was wondering if the "Graphite" colour from the Sub 1 is similar in colour tone to "Graphite Pearl", aside from the texture, gloss and metal flaking.

Same color- We clearcoat and buff the Graphite Pearl. We texture the graphite on the SUB series.

Ha! Ha!!! :D

Thanks Derek!

I don't know what happened here!? The second post was suppose to be a separate thread! I exited out since I was deciding not to post it. I didn't even press the submit button! :p
I was surprised to see this here!

You ain't kidding about the pics. I gambled with the Rad Red because for one, I hate red guitars, but, something drew me to it. I saw pics and thought it was a decent color and it might grow on me. Well, when I popped the case, it was like that scene out of Pulp Fiction when Vinny opens the briefcase and that gold color was illuminating his face. I was simply awestruck. As usual, EBMM comes up with stuff that continues to amaze me.......by the way, it is my favorite color.

I know it would be an expense but I think it would be a good idea for dealers to have some colour swatches so you could see the real thing.
I went to one dealer who when I asked about something he went to the EBMM website.
Most of the EBMM colours change in certain light situations or are too deep to properly photograph.
It's not an insult to the EBMM website. Just an extreme compliment to the gorgeous colours that the guitars are dressed in. :)

The guitar will be my therapy! That's why I need it so bad.

...we dont need a new website we are just going to link to you for photos!

Link away! Except I cannot authorize copyright since I did not photograph them.
Use at your own risk! ;)
Unfortunately I don't have every combination yet!

At least you have a website! I've had my company's web address registered for about 4 years..... still no website!!!
If it takes me this long to get the guitar, somebody call Koogie and put me out of my misery!!!

I have the Envy Green JP6, and the only decent photo of that color I've seen is one from Indoor Storm when they were selling one. All the pictures I take come out dark and boring, but the guitar looks amazing in person. (of course I really like dark green guitars)

One thing I've always been impressed with about Paul reed smiths company is the photographs of his guitars.

They always look great. No denying it. Ups to Paul.

The whole thing is kind of ironic really.
Some companies overdo it by making the photograph like a hamburger commercial so that you just have to have it. You get it. Then you're disappointed.
EBMM is quite the opposite. You'll always be pleasantly surprised. ;)

I'm a bit sceptical to think that EBMM colors are such that they photograph any worse than colors from other companies. Arguably though, their prism-like paint that changes colors would be hard to capture without several photos from various angles.

I've found that my guitars don't photograph as well with a standard flash. Taking them outside really helps bring out the color and grain patterns. A partly cloudy day tends to be the best light.

I'd agree white that.
If you're talking white, butter cream or vintage burst, you pretty much know what you're getting.
But the specialy colours are a complete guessing game!!!

100%, Tommy. I do design and color is my world. Of course you gotta set them to digital, if you can, and you gotta set the refresh rate to like 75 hertz, and use a setting of 1280X1024 with a quality setting of 32 bit.
