I actually had a few gig offers lately and I'm thinking about taking one of them. Some friends of mine that host one of the weekly jams I go to have asked me to join their band. They still want me to play some keys and wind synth, but mainly the bass spot. (One of the guys plays very good bass, but is a guitard at heart, but he could cover some bass when we need horns.) So I'm thinking about it, they don't travel far and they don't play that much... two positive features of the gig to me. :D

Then I recently seen the band leader from my beloved country gig, they are trying to turn the place in to a bar and have the band again, so there's that, but I think that one will take a while to come thru... if ever.

Things are pretty wild at the Psycho Farm right now, Mom is living with us, my Daughter got her nose broken at the basketball game last night, my wife is working night and day on a billizillon dollar deal, my son got kicked off the school bus for wise cracking the driver and so on...

A gig might be a good thing to have right now.:D

Sounds like you need a break from all that.

Come on down to Atlanta town Mr. Ward. All the pizza and beer you can drink on me. Have you heard of Northside Tavern? Oh man, they play the blues like you never heard before.

That sounds like fun! If I've got a gig, you guys will most likely be able to enjoy a nice meal while you listen.

Chuck-- I was gonna say you could sit in on a tune, or two, but I'd have to bring a full length mirror for you to play my Bongos. :D

Of course, copious amounts of drinking is acceptable, too....
