I've always wanted a decent arsenal of guitars, so I could play in almost any setting or any style. That way, i could have my musical bases covered. I play mostly classic and modern rock, and I'm more of a rhythm person (though I plan on changing that).
I have two Axis guitars - one Floyded and one hardtail. Both are great and are everything I've been looking for. But, I'd like a guitar with a vintage trem, as I was really happy with how that setup worked on that Axis Sport.
So, I'm thinking about three different models, and I wanted to get everyone's input.
1. 20th Anniversary Silo. The body shape and tone are just awesome. The neck is the only thing stopping me from competely loving it. It's a little wide for my taste.
2. Albert Lee. I tried one out today, and I really like it. The Neck profile felt really close to the Axis profile, at least thinner than the Silo. The body shape looks weird, but it feels so right. I tried a single coil, but I think I'd rather have MM-90's.
3. Axis Super Sport. This is the one that would win out on neck profile and familiarity. The one thing I am not fond of on these is control placement.
I've tried all three, and I can't decide. I put it to you to help me make up my mind.
