20th Silo all the way. I've never played any guitar that palys as well or has the versatility as the 20th plus as mentioned they are getting harder to come by.

1. 20th Anniversary Silo. The body shape and tone are just awesome. The neck is the only thing stopping me from competely loving it. It's a little wide for my taste.

This is wide for you? I wish it were a bit wider... and thinner... Sort of like a JP, but with at least 3mm more thickness, but same width.

My next guitar that I really wanted is a F****R EC strat with fishman. Just like the one Pete Townshend plays. After doing alot of research, I feel the piezo Al with trem will get me REAL there. The great thing is it'll be that cool AL shape that sets it apart from the crop abit without being too "dimebag" about extremeness. I recently picked up a '96EC strat on the cheap that is waiting to test the mettle of the AL when it gets here. Also a nice A/B of the silent circuit and the lace sensors will be interesting. If the AL is all I expect, then the EC will be on E B A Y. If not, then the EC will get the fishman mod.
I pretty much know how this story will end already ;)

I guess translated that means my choice is the AL

Yeah, hard to believe. I had the same issue with the Silo Spec. It has more to do with the back profile than anything else. I have smallish hands, and a neck like the Axis and the AL suit my hands better than the Silo. THe Silo has felt too chunky and fatter around frets 1-5 than they do on the Axis.

I think that in and of itself may be the deciding factor for me. Right now, the AL is looking like the best bet.

I've played/tried out both guitars, and the AL felt better to me. The neck was more comfortable, the body shape fit well, and the tones were close to what I'm looking for. The 20th Silo sounded great, but the neck profile is outside of my comfort zone. I'd rather not take up someone else's chance to get one of these.
