Anyone out there have experience with these? Will the silent circuit function properly with different pickups - or should it be bypassed altogether if it will affect tone?

Any information you can provide on either of these points would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

I have these, neck and middle, in a warmoth strat chambered swamp ash body. These do sound good, i can't compare them to a Silo however. As for the circuit functionality, i can't help you there either. My experience with BK has been good. Query response feedback has been with 24-48 hours and the lifetime warranty works, i know, i've had to use it.

Hope this helps.

The silent circuit should work if you wire up the pickups in the same way, the silent circuit is just a dummy coil after all and already works with a wide variety of pickups used in EBMM guitars (Duncans, Dimarzios, in house etc).

Not heard anything bad about BKs so go for it

Silent circuit is adjustable to suit different pickups (mini adjustment pot on the top). Remember, stock wiring for the Silo Special only uses the silent circuit for position 5, the neck pickup on it's own, as all other positions use two pickup coils and are already hum-cancelling.

Oh.. BK`s are soooo nice. Got to try out several sets and right now the only pickups I play are BK`s.
My JP BFR got some BK Steve Stevens Signature and that guitar never sounded so good in my opinion.

I would totally go for it!

I have an SSS setup so I assume that the Silent Circuit is active in positions 1,3 and 5, and that what you are describing would apply to an HSS configuration?

It works better with some pickups than others. But you can adjust the output with the set screw on the back to match the noise level. You can wire it up to be active whenever you're using a single coil on it's own.

I did the same with my JP6 and I also think the Rebel Yells are absolutely terrific. That's the main reason I want to try some BKPs on my Silo Special!
