Hm,

why does Koogie jump to mind right now, anyone have a clue :p ?

So, last weekend I sold two amps (yep, the Marshall half-stack with the TSL 100 head and the Fender Blues Deville both went out the door). That meant cash in hand and what to do with it? Buy another EBMM? Hm, maybe, possibly, certainly, oh yes, the money is in, I'll buy :D

While I had been GASsing for a Morse in vintage sunburst with matching headstock and stoptail, I just decided to call up the store and ask if there were any Morse's in stock at the importer for the Benelux. And, yes, there was one Morse with stoptail in stock. It's a Morse blueburst without matching headstock, but hey, that's ok with me... I'll probably have it at the end of this week.

That makes the wait for the Y2D a bit more comfortable. And I can start playing stoptail again (since the Morse I have is the one with the trem, I haven't played a stoptail since I got the Morse  ).

Well, there we go. Just wait and see and the pics will roll by next week.

Cheers, Tom.

Though Vintage sunburst woulda been pretty cool.

And Tommy might have you beat in the Morse collection.

I think I remember him saying he's got 5. Including the only other I've heard about besides me with a black sparkle...which I might have to trade for one of those new fangled ones.
:D

Congrats on the growing collection

Congrats on the new axe, and you must post pics before you play it! Too bad you don't live over here (check my siggy)

Yeah Pete,

I know. If I were living in the USA, I probably would have had a dozen EBMMs by now. They are the best guitars I ever laid my hands on but the damn f***ing taxes over here in Belgium put a price tag on these babies that is just a bit too high to keeping 'em coming on a yearly basis... :D

Well, that said, I'm really looking forward to this second EBMM, as well as to the third, which will even be better, I'm sure about that. On the other hand, I really have a lot to look forward to nowadays. Our first child will be born one of these days (calculated: 24th of June 2005) and I just signed a contract yesterday evening for a new job in the Pharmaceutical industry where I will start working on the 18th of July 2005. Add the plans to start with the construction of our own house in January 2006, and it's clear that the Y2D isn't the only thing on my mind right now.

It's all positive things nevertheless. Guess I'm lucky this time around...

Cheers,

Tom.

Congrats on the guitars. So if you sold 2 amps how many do you have left and what are they?

Well, I was actually planning on selling the Fender Blues Deville amp only. But on one point I also put the Marshall on for sale. And yes, the unexpected happened, they both were really wanted by some people :p .

What have I got left: my thrusty Marshall Valvestate 8240, which is IMO the best amp I ever had (reason why I ditched the TSL100, I still can get a better sound out of the 8240, although that is not a tube amp); an AER compact 60 acoustic amp and a Hughues & Kettner bassforce. I used to have about 6 or 7 amps, but I keep downsizing my collection (I can use the money to buy EBMM guitars :D ).

Nevertheless, I'll probably buy a cheap extra amp to put in the rehearsel room, although I'm not sure what to buy yet. Have to think about that. Marshall shurely is on top of that list.

Cheers, Tom.

Cool. Did you ever try the dsl? I bought a dsl 50 halfstack and absolutely love it. It's alot thicker and heavier sounding than the tsl.
