Aw man I'm developing a definate case of AL GAS.....:p seriously this last few days I've been searching around for AL clips to get a better understanding of the sound.... am I right in thinking that they sound a lot fatter than a usual single coil equipped guitar..?? I love the tone on this...

They certainly do, and quieter too. I'll tell you, there's something about the way he plays the guitars - he did a clinic at our store this year, and it was fantastic.

Here he is rocking out the Pacific Blue Burst I have on the wall. He signed it for us too!

Very Nice!

I'd really be thinking hard about both of those if the headstock was non-matching.

I love Mitch's way of demoing and explaining what he's doing, i.e. 'good bad notes.'

The AL sure has its own sound, just based on various sound bites I've heard. What I've heard is mostly based on the excellent note separation while retaining a clear but fat tone - no small accomplishment! I'd like to hear some other styles, including some on the edge of distortion.. southern rock, for example.
