You love the guitar and BP is still willing to fix it and make it right for you. It is up to you, but I would take him up on that offer. If you still don't want to do that...sell it or get your money back. Life happens.....to all of us. Relax and do what you think is best for you.

It's a shame, some just don't seem to understand the unnecessary damage done by starting a reckless thread like this. A person (or product) earns a great reputation, but all it takes is for one unhappy individual to piss in people's ear to create suspicion and doubt.

If there's a problem, EB will fix it. It's that simple.

Huh. What a contrast to read the positive stuff that Tyler posted, and then to read the crap that this guy is trying to sling.

Maybe he can go carpool with Dude and the guy with the leather pants.

The beauty, in my opinion, in buying and dealing with EBMM is the true and honest desire to always "make it right"...

There is a human element in the build process - we as humans are not perfect - and flaws will occassionally find their way out of the factory. Few yes, but none? No...

The beauty in buying and dealing with EBMM is that when this happens, EBMM as a company - and it all starts at the very top with BP - will instantly "make it right"...

Let's take it one step beyond the flaw that escaped the factory, and consider the issues produced by climate and use that EBMM continues to instantly "make it right"...

And then there's even the occassional "I bought this EBMM bass used and the <insert issue here> is giving me problems and what can I do?" and I've seen EBMM "make it right"...

It's why I buy my Balls unseen, knowing that it will likely arrive perfect and in the rare occassion it doesn't it will be made perfect. It's why I continue to support this company and sing it's praise to anyone who'll listen.

It's not a hard concept... Really...

Pissed off Rant...

You know what, I'm really glad that I have my BFR Luke. I can seriously see BP getting frustrated to to the point of saying that's it, the BFR program is over with, I'll keep these gems for the artists and family, the way it used to be.

I can't imagine putting your family name out there on something like this and then have people taking shots at your reputation for the whole damn world to see.

Fanboy? Probably but you know what, I'd have the same reaction if it was happening to any of my close friends or family. Nobody deserves this much bullsh!t in going out of their way to make people happy.

NOBODY IS MAKING YOU BUY EBMM GUITARS!!!!! Go try something else, see if you get the same sort of support elsewhere.

You arguably have a brain, use the damn thing. Mistakes happen, let the CS folks do what they do best if you have a problem. I've been there, done that and I'm a happy camper. It was handled prompty and professionally from start to finish. I know of others who have had problems and it's been taken care of.

Show a little little respect. Remember where you are and who pays the freight on this forum. Put yourself in BP's flip-flops for a day.

+1

BP is right. He's just a troll. His whole posting made no sense. Definitely bogus! I think he has already slid back under his rock anyway.

Isn't this thread locked yet? EBMM takes their great guitars and makes them even better with premium woods and tops and people complain? This reminds me of people complaining about the 2001 Camaro's. Great cars at an incredible value. They complained the paint jobs had some orange peel.

(Not to compare BFR's to a Chevy Camaro, more like Ferarri F-1's :) .)

I'm glad that it's still open for a few more minutes WonderDog!

BP, it really seems like you've hit a nerve with some of your competition in getting into their boutique racket. The BFRs (from what I've seen) are as good if not better than any of the 'obscenely' overpriced custom/vault/polished-on-the-thighs-of-dusky-maidens type creations that go for double and more the BFR price tag.... I'm not saying conspiracy and sabotage on the part of some of EBMMs competitors and their minions BUT, if the Troll Speak fits........

:p

seriously though, the BFRs come out at wicked tone/build/aesthetic quality at a price that's cheaper than the competition and it seems like nothing but bad talk that a company like EBMM can and IS pulling it off

man, some folks are just double 'O' stoopid.

so ya, that's my rant and 2 bits (with a side of smothered and covered)

viva la BFR!

my car cost the same amount of money as about 30 MM guitars. every once in a while the check engine light turns on for seemingly no reason at all etc etc. its annoying as hell.

I have 12 MMs now. maybe more, i lost count. I have had 1 thing that I contacted CS about. out of 14 instruments and about 5 years of use there's been 1 thing to contact CS about.

if i had 14 Audi's id be at the dealer all the damn time.

Closing thread. littleman684 just asked me to delete his forum account so I imagine he won't be back. I hope he gets it fixed or returns it, whatever makes him happy. Did he ever mention what was wrong with it? Well, maybe the next owner of that BFR will actually be forthcoming with what's wrong so we can remedy it. Oh well moving on to more important things like buying all the A2's in the vending machine so I can resell them to Spinny at a higher price :D Just kidding.

here is what was wrong. Other than maybe some overspray there was one pinpoit white dot on the inner horn (maybe compound) the rest was in the trem cavity. He contacted customer service at 11:58 am and was responded to requesting photos at 1:30....

I think we did ok with the customer service part and really I would like to just fire this cusotmer and I am sorry it didnt work out but I dont think he wanted it to. Maybe some buyers remorse

PS BFRS arent going away.

Hi,

I'm the owner of G34677 - The newestTop of line JP signature Models.

I just wanted to mention a few things that didn't seem right.

1) A white pinsize dot is under the laquer finish on the inside of the
cuttaway.
2) Removal of the back cover shows paints smudges, as if the cover was
put on too soon, and the finish didn't dry properly right around where
the screws go in.
3) Further more, taking off that central back panel revealed 2 ruptures
in the wood under the springs, like maybe someone drilled a screw way
too far in from the other side and then pulled them out.
4) The fret board shows some laquer spillage, probably from when it was
put on the side... not too big of a deal though...

Anyways, the last two defects aren't noticieable because they're out of
sight normally, and the white dot, well, it's ignorable (although i
still wish it wasn't there). The guitar is nevertheless amazing, but I
hope you pass this around so that other guitars don't get screwed up
like that. It sucks to pay over $3000 and find that a $600 ibanez S
Series or a $700 Parker P36 (both of which i own) made in Korea doesn't
have mistakes like that.

Thanks.
