Thornley are an up and coming band from canada.The lead singer is Ian Thornley, the former Big Wreck lead singer/guitarist.The bassist is Ken Tizzard, formerly of the Watchmen.Sekou Lumumba(drums) and Tavis Stanley(guitar) complete the line up.They are a really good band, check them out at www.thornleyband.com/ it streams some music(may take a few minutes).There's 3 songs to choose from, so use the little selector in the top right corner.Their bassost is very kool, and he sent me bass tab to the song 'So Far So Good'.

Yeah...just did. Sound good to me. The one tune (slow one) needs to go IMO, but the other two jammed. I like it......Too bad they aren't coming down here though...I would have checked them out.

They mighta been thru your area already. I loved Big Wreck, now that was a band. Thornley isn't bad but kinda derivative at times.

I am like their main promoted over here lol! It's funny, they haven't been mentioned much over here, so I just let people know who they are wherever I go.

I pretty much have the scene down out here and don't recall them ever coming through. I have been outta town though, so I could have missed them. They aren't too bad. I'd go see them.

The old big wreck gitfiddler was from Long Island. Brian Doherty was his name-o. I don't know him tho'.

And the bassist was Dave summit(henning?). Many people have said Thornley sound like Nickelback, but I disagree.

Well I think theydo have a Nickelbackian sound....partly because Thornley is a 604 product (Kroeger's label). And the fact that Kroeger most likely contributed to the writing of the album.
