Sorry for the dark photo....point and shoot from too far away. My son Timmy (on bass) and I (on the Al) played to a pretty full house at Algonquin High nearby. I'd guess 500 people. This was put on by the music school where we both attend....Jack's Guitar Garage (I'm not the Jack there....). We did "With a Little Help From My Friends" by the Beatles with drums played by Jack (again, the owner, not me....would be difficult to play drums and rythem at the same time...) First time ever singing for me, so I had my work cut out for me...but figure Ringo wasn't such a great singer either...:D I started out asking the audience to sing along, since everyone knows the song.....had some singing....hard to tell how much with a darkened room and spotlights. I know it's not all that big of a deal, but I'm used to playing with a worship band where someone else is the focus and I'm just a supporting guitar player. We'd both be playing Musicman instruments, but alas.....there isn't a 28 inch scale bass in the lineup. He gets to use my ASS for his guitar practice tonight as a treat.

Jack, that's excellent man!!!! Congrats. You should have told me man, we would have tried to make it. The mighty Reg is where my younger brother went to school, I'm a Northborough boy myself.

You playing the AL there my friend?

I thought about that afterwards....being just down the street from Mr. C's, where I know you stumble in now and then. Yah, the black cherry burst Al seemed like the right vibe for banging out Beatles chords.

Cool. Thanks for posting. How did the AL work?

The Al did great. We came out after a group of 16 did a few songs....and while stuff was getting a bit set up, I strumed a few minor chords slowly and man....they sounded sooooo good with the big auditorium and the volume cranked up. I'm curious if the school did any recording/pictures. During the previous set, I was in the audience and noticed flashes from up in the spotlight catwalks, so wonder. The EBMM strap locks kept me from worrying about the strap being secure too.
