Long-time lurker and long-time Sterling owner here... first post.
I have to say that I am continually happier with Music Man basses in general and the Sterling in particular than anything a place my hands on - and this includes quite a list of makes and models ranging from inexpensive pawn-shop finds to high-dollar boutique basses I have purchased in a quest for something that is the "uber-bass".
That long sentence was written as a prelude to this: ergonomically, tonally and stylistically the Music Man Sterling is as good as I have found.
Simple to play, versatile enough to pull many tones, easy for even a dolt like me to make playability adjustments... this bass is a great achievement in service to the bass community.
Thank you, Sterling Ball for what you did with this bass and for me as a bass player.
Continually grateful,
James Ellis
