I read on the forum years ago about fixing the treble loss when you roll down the volume on EBMM guitars. The obvious solution is to play at max volume...anybody out there done the fix?
Yep, a treble bleed (cap & resistor) will bleed some of the highs to your output, so you'll keep more highs as you turn down the volume. Requires a bit of experimenting to get exactly the right values that work.
I find it doesn't bother me so much- I set my amp up to be bright, and when I turn down the volume it's just right. When you turn up, the extra treble helps you punch through.
