More than one year ago I ordered a nut at my guitar tech for my MMJP6. He said that he gave an order to Bobencek- customer service for Slovenia and even to this day do not have one. I don`t know where is the problem or is the dealer of Slovenia as bad or has an Ernie ball low support for their customers. I can`t understand how can I wait so long. I know some people which have also had problems with the orders spare parts for their music man guitars. I was also talk with a Italian customer service It`s take a 3 months to get it.

What does it mean a good instrument if you can not maintain. It is so hard to get this parts??

Please Ernie Ball tell me how to get a new nut as soon is possible.

Listen why did you wait a year? Do you think that we dont like money? Maybe your tech is sloppy....If we get orders we ship them.....Now change your title We should not be attacked with our benefir of the doubt.

Amen - I have had nothing but the most superb and quick customer service from EB. If all companies followed there example, business would be a way different animal than it is now.

I have found most guitar techs to be inherently lazy and unless you hound them to get what you want done it wont get done. It took me 2 months to get a trem setter fitted just because the tech i was using at the time could not be bothered to do the work. You're tech probably assumed you took the guitar elsewhere or got a saddle from elsewhere. You would have had more success contacting ebmm yourself via email rather than having to go through at least 2 or 3 intermediates.

Ernie Ball is not to blame - its your own fault.
Having a guitar out of action for over a year due to a single saddle is simply ridiculous and no excuse for you not to get involved in ordering a replacement.

No offense but if you waited a year for a part, you're as much to blame as your tech. 4-6 weeks and I would have been in touch with EB and just bought it from them.

Hello Tofisi,

Welcome to the board. You'll find a wealth of knowledge embodied in its members who happen show an incredible generosity of spirit towards one another.

You'll also find a wealth of examples of the outstanding customer service the EBMM provides. Representatives of CS as well as Sterling himself chime in regularly (as you probably noticed).

It may serve your interests better to post a question about how to contact CS. I imagine that your issue will be addressed in a meaningful way.

Best of luck.

OK.
I didn`t wait. I was talking in this period(one year) at least 8 x times with my guitar tech and even at least 5x time with Slovenian Ernie Ball dealer- Bobencek. The dealer has always said that the nut is in the order. Today when I spoke with my guitar tech he had said that has received only two nuts for seven string and neither one for six string guitar. Then I called an Italian customer service to Torino which told me to wait at least 3 months and he told me that the Ernie Ball is not so fast to sent their parts to Europe. Today I thought to explode.

I was change a title, but for me, if this post give a bad light on you, you can also delete

Sorry for that.

I think he meant, what took you so long to even come here? And, if you came here, why didn't you look up the phone number for CS and give them a ring? And, why didn't you do that a loooong time ago?

There is no way in this day and age I would wait a year before deciding that I might try and get to the bottom of things. You can find a phone number for just about anything. If you couldn't speak English at all, I could see a problem in finding out what to do, but you obviously have a pretty good handle on the language (I certainly don't have that good a handle on any other language that's for sure).

Next time, don't wait so long before you assume it's someone else three cogs down the line not doing their job. Next time, assume that something has gotten confused on that three cogs down the line machinery, and try to get to the source and see if something indeed didn't just get lost in all the transferring of information. In that case, it could be anybody's fault which we usually call an accident.

I understand your frustration. Techs, stores, retail customer service all seem to drag their feet while making promises over and over. It seems to me that it was convenient for them to blame the Ernie Ball company. It is obvious from the testimony of myself and others here that EBMM has consistently provided great CS. The omnipresence of Sterling Ball on this board is further evidence of that. It sounds like they are taking care of you. I hope this helps and I also hope that your frustration is now directed at the appropriate people.

The important thing is to get that Ball up and running again. Shame for it to be down so long!

ok now so u change your post from a saddle to a nut.
Well thats even easier than a saddle.

If your tech is worth his salt he should be able to make you a replacement nut himself!!

Honestly none of this is ernie ball musicman's fault its all yours.

I'm not defending the OP, but I believe his tech would have to order a compensated nut from EBMM. I completely agree that a tech should be able to make a regular nut that would fit from a correctly-sized blank.

Most techs I know dont believe in compensated nuts.
If guy was that desperate he could have got an after market one like earvana.
