Anyone have any good pics of a tobacco burst axis (quilted)? I've ordered the tobacco burst quilted premium top, but I'd like see some more pics (aside form the MM site). Thanks.

Steve T check out ebay. Do a search on Axis under Musical Instruments.

I'm pretty sure that I saw a couple there while surfing either last night or this morning.

Best of luck. Post some pictures when you get it.

Thanks...I saw that tobacco burst one on ebay. The pictures aren't that great (for color)...but they help.

The owner put that guitar, and a cherry burst axis on e-bay a few weeks ago. Starting bid for each was $1,500. Nobody bought either one....so he's at it again (using the same starting bid). Not sure what the guy is thinking.

I wish I had pics of mine.

I bought a hardtail quilted tobacco burst axis supersport with hums and piezo from atlanta music brokers about a year ago.

The most beautiful ball I own.

The tobacco burst goes yellow to brown.

Vintage sunburst goes yellow to orangy red to black.

You will be floored when it comes.

Thanks, fellas. It's taken at least 3 months so far....and I'm DYING to get it.

Keith...does yours look a lot like the tobacco burst on MusicMan's site? I'm sure it looks better in person. I ordered the exact same guitar (sport, hums, hardtail, piezo, etc).

Haven't seen their picture in a while in regards to the question.

I can say it is a beautiful guitar to look at. Very easy to play, and comfortable as hell all around. It's light as a feather, too.

My main issues are in terms of tone. I tend to like emg's. I'm more a Luke player.

There is also a huge volume drop when splitting coils by using positions 2&4 compared to humbucker position(s).

If you do any fingerpicking, you're gonna absolutely LOVE the piezo. It sounds great blended in, especially positions 2 and 4.

The guys at atlanta music brokers emailed me pics of it which was the clincher for me...then it arrived a week later and was even more beautiful than the pics.

You'll be quite happy, I'm sure.

KEITH

PS Mine has a rosewood fingerboard.

Steve, I'm sure that your top will look much nicer than the AMB Axis, since you ordered the custom top.

I have the piezo on my Super Sport and I love it Mine also has hums, but I have the tremolo (don't know why, I very rarely use it).
