Fed Ex says that the JP6 DDII for my son is at the local facility... decided I will give it to him tonight. He has no idea... will be his first truly high-end guitar to add to his budget strat, epiphone Les Paul and Ibanez acoustic

Will have the camera ready!:D

damn...my dad told me almost 20 years ago he would buy me an awesome guitar one day. A DDII would be my ultimate choice! Graduating med-school is still a year away so that's about 13 months too late ;)

Lucky guy!

Very nice

At the age of 39, I still remember the day my dad (who always made me work for something) surprised me a full on extraordinary gift.

I know your son will always recall today fondly. I hope that you do, too.

Way to go.

Great job. His first high end guitar is definitely a winner. If he doesn't like the Petrucci, he'll have to answer to me.:D;)

Awesome - nice one! Would love to see the look on his face when he gets it.

I gave my son my handmade Mahogany/ebony Tele which he loves. (Ijust never used it when I got my EB guitars)

Oh yeah I was about to press "post quick reply" then I remembered that I'm giving my eldest son something on Thursday ... ... ... ...

... 3 hubcaps (yeah I know he has a 4 wheeler):D
