I like the sounds of all this! My days off are Nov. 22 - 27. Actually I have to work until about noon on the 22nd, but I was thinking about pointing the car up I-95 (gas prices be damned) and driving like the devil is chasing me out of georgia (he's still down here, looking for souls to steal, and still in a bind because he's way behind...) to arrive in Wilmington at a certain Shredder/Black Belt duo's doorstep at some ungodly hour of the night...

With guitars in tow, of course.

I'd really look forward to an opportunity to meet a few other forum members, having blown a big chance once already...that is, if I'm able to stop staring at my new Y2D...

Sean

The devil went down to Georgia, and Sean went East...man

How about 2 shindigs? :D

You guys figger something out for around the holidays, and I'll try and get a clinic/open house/mega jam session up here in the spring/summer

Count me in too... I'm only about an hour from Tommy. As far as getting to Connecticut, hell Amtrak runs that way rather than doing the driving thing. New York driving sucks. Might even be more cost effective to fly in.

Damn this is sounding pretty cool.

You'd better check with Tommy before offering ;).... I know he and Sean are planning on a northern journey around Turkey Day to inspect/receive their y2ds

I could probably visit as far down as VA (where little sister lives) if you get something organized for after Thanksgiving

Um. Hmmm. Yes. Well, we do live in the same house. I'm planning to tag along to CT with whomever is in the car. Chances are I'll be driving anyway...

I'm assuming mine falls into that group as well. I had an original ship date of 11/05. What's another month... it'll be worth the wait I'm sure.

I just keep going back to my pictures from the open house and think damn... what a sweet guitar!!!

Christmas is nice... my first EB was a Christmas present.

Hey- mine too!

My Petrucci came last year in December. I told everyone it was my Christmas gift to myself (even though I had ordered it in September.. they didn't know that part).

If the stars align properly, I may have the same scenario with my Y2D this year!

I don't mind waiting this time though, 'cause at least I have a Music Man to play! If the Y2D schedule slips, so be it. I'd rather wait for the quality.

Same here. The wait for my Petrucci was almost unbearable. Having a couple to play this time around makes it a whole lot easier to deal with.

I'm feeling a little sinister with this one though. I'm considering not even opening it up at the music store... "Mine! Play it you will not..."

Although it might be worth doing just to show them that yes there are other (really nice) guitars out there besides Fender and Gibson...

Yeah! Keith sent me pictures he took and I think they turned out fantastic. Made me feel good. I still have a few OH guitar picks left if anyone wants them.

How might I obtain one (or more) of these picks?

J/K- I only want one. Post here or PM me with the details.

I'd love to go either to Tommy's place or up to Pete's. I'm in the Philadelphia area so I'm in the middle. The one thing that the factory gettogether made me realize is how much I miss hanging out with musical buddies.

I can help out with driving. I have a Ford Freestar van and since it's a company car, I might be able to expense the gas. The Del/Md guys could meet me in my area and I could drive up to Pete's or if anyone takes the train down, I could pick them up at the Philly station.

I'm getting shoulder surgury this Friday and will have time on my hands.

BTW, there's a great opportunity for a smart-@$$ BP ribbing in this thread.
