Quick question I have a Musicman Axis Supersport which i like to use a product by the name of Tone Finger Ease on (guitar string lubricant) I spray it on the strings and lightly on the back of the next, is this safe for the unfinished maple neck?

on my G string at the 12 th fret and upwards the sound warbles, which im guessing is the pickups dragging down on the string, as there's no way to adjust the pickup height I was wondering if i upgrade the strings from 009's to 10's and then raise the action to compensate, if that will solve the problem?
