Tone pot value 25th Anniversary?

I was lucky enough to buy a 25th Anni last week but unfortunately the tone pot needs replacing as it is incredibly rough and crackly. Am I right in thinking they are 500K pots rather than 250K? TBH I'm not sure what difference it makes but I want to keep to the original spec.

The Reflex uses 500k pots (as listed in the product overview on the MM homepage), the 25th most definitely came with the same spec.

Thanks guys, I thought as much but it's nice to get confirmation. Apart from the issue with the tone pot and a couple of dinks on the body it is a beautiful guitar and I'm very pleased with it. Also had a filthy fretboard, but I guess it shows it has been played?

You can always clean a filthy freatboard

Try rapidly moving your tone knob in both directions until it hits the stops. Make sure you hit each stop with a little bit of force. This may knock the dust loose. You can always take the back plate off & spray a bit of electronic cleaner. I'm sure you knew this already, but if you're going to replace the pot anyway, it's worth a try.

Thanks for the advice. I honestly think it is beyond repair as it feels so bad but I'll ask my tech to check it out before replacing it. Had a blast playing it today, absolutely huge range of tones, can't wait to get it properly set up.
