Mark knows why I pm'ed him the other day...I just watched this getting finished.

Jack's bass will have a thin smeary veneer for a top (he doesn't like coffee table basses), back-bowed neck, and will weigh in at just a shade over 14 lbs. Don't worry, I'll hand select the top and body myself!

It's the same finish you see on the BFR guitars. There are plenty of pics on the guitar side of JP rocking one onstage! Trans-black burst or trans black.
