Snap...I'll second that. That's why Rays are it!!

Folks, I agree with everything people are saying about 'You can pick up a Ray anywhere and it just plays great'. What I am saying is this:

1) It's been a few years now since the Bongo and radius, what's next? A replica of the classics was a nice touch but to Sterlings original quotes he doesn't want to look back he wants to go forward.

2) Possibly one solution would be an artist focused bass. Be that an exact version of Pino's fretless basses with mods, or a Tony Levin version of the Silver Boy that was burned.

I believe MM are all about innovation hence the Bongo radius and even the Ray's. What's next that will keep us enthused about this great company?

Hell, I've got a few ideas!!?

I'd say that the Reflex and the Gamechanger were certainly something new.

I'd absolutely agree they are new and the gamechanger offers some great sonic possibilities but they are essentially new technologies in well 'older' designs. BMW don't bring out new technologies in last years model they keep their audience excited with subtle but meaningful changes. They absolutely did this with the Bongo and Sterling obviously was brave enough to champion innovative changes not subtle tinkering. What I'm saying is Sterling let's see something totally new from EB to look at and lust after and make us excited by the direction of the aesthetics and technology. What about a bass that uses totally eco friendly bamboo, or is a combination of wireless technology and smart media? EB to my mind have always managed great, reliable instruments I just want to see what they have up their sleAve for the next 10 years?!
