Well guys happy St Patrick's day. For one day all eyes our on ireland, some just to see exactly how much can one country drink in a day!
3 gigs today, a radio one this morning a 4-6 set and then a 12 -2 set in a different venue. Every year we seem to play a couple of gigs on paddy's day. So for me and for that reason it's the bestday of the year

I keep meaning to pick up a Dargie just so I can play a green bass on paddy's day.

And as for When Irish Eyes are Smiling - if ever a song was written for communal singing in a slightly slurred, boozy way............that has to be it - come to think of it there are several Irish songs like that I can think of. You have even more impecable lineage than we ever knew, BP.

I once played a gig in an Irish pub (in England) on St Patrick's night - it sure was fun

It's a wee bit early to be drinking the black stuff (unless it's from Costa Rica) here on the Left Coast of America, but we'll be toasting you all day. Our gig (funny, we're a cajun band playing an Irish festival) starts at 5:30 this evening. We do have two fiddles though, so we'll figure out something to play.

Everyone is so drunk at the pubs, we could play Jewish cowboy classical modern jazz music and they wouldn't know the difference. Untill we do some Flogging Molly covers, then they go nuts! Off to the next gig...
