Trace Elliot 15" Cab

hello EB fellows.

I think i have come to a good deal in acquiring a TE 15" 300W cab (1518C). It is a papercone speaker. Do you think that it will sound too bassy if used alone? You will tell me to try it of course, but the sound varies from venue to venue and i want a good all rounder.

PS: I think i am throwing away my 2x10" alu. cone because it sounds too flat (no punch for my taste. If i throw a few mids, it will sound honky immediately.

I have been exclusively using 15"s for the past 15 years. Firstly a TE and then more recently an Ashdown. It gives me 'my sound' and coupled with a stingray or 2 sounds fantastic. I wouldn't use anything else.

The 3 things that give me my own sound are an Ashdown ABM115, Gallien Krueger 700RB II and my stingrays.

This may get removed because technically we are evaluating a speaker cab and not a MM bass. Apparently there are other forums you can check for more info. PM me for details.
