Well, someone has to say it, so let's get it out of the way.

1. Keep the Sterling.
2. Buy a Bongo.
3. Live wild and free.

There, now we have that part done.

Okay:

1. You're sixteen.
2. Mow yards, get a paper route, sell lemonade or sea monkeys.
3. See? You need to keep the Sterling.

I usually charge for this kind of consulting, you know.

Jubs..You are 16 and have a Sterling. Don't get all greedy. You have a better bass than a lot of folks. Save your $ and keep the Sterling, and buy a Bongo. Or a new HH Sterling. Or an HS Sterling. Or an HH Stingray. Or an HS Stingray. I think you can smell what I'm cooking.

I was 32 when I got my first EBMM.
Well....i'm biased on this because my favorites are Sterlings. I have a Bongo....I love it because it's a different animal compared to the Sterlings......BUT....I prefer my Sterlings over the Bongo.

Jubs, in my neighborhood, which is certainly working class, guys get $35 to mow a quarter to a third of an acre lot. Takes less than an hour. So let's do the math, two lawns a day, three days a week, that's $210 a week. See, in a month and a half, you've got your Bongo and get to keep your Sterling. Now get off your butt and get to work. Seriously, dude, why don't you have a job?

the job issue is that im pretty much in really hard clases at my school. and not only that i take college clases after school. there is not much time for doing loads of work. and i HATE mowing lawns. more than anythin gin the world. and nobody gets payed that well at the lawns i would be mowing.

i fi get one it might be this fall. im might be getting payed 10 bucks an hour to move big rocks around this guys yard. like 18 tons of big rocks.

Keep the Sterling. Save for a Bongo. Buy a Bongo. Buy another Bongo. Sell the Sterling so you can buy a car. Save for another Sterling.

That's what I did.

Jubs,

No question. School comes first. As a teacher, I know firsthand how much is required in GT/AP courses which are what it sounds like you're taking. As someone who's making every effort to have a Bongo 4HH take over for the Sterling as #1, I'll tell you, keep the Sterling at all costs. You'll be sorry if you sell it.
