Transparent Black Stingray...ever been one?

I was at a Guitar store the other day and saw an old IBANEZ SOUNDGEAR in transparent black on an ASH body...I fell in love with the color (not enough to buy the bass, I sold my SOUNDGEAR to a buddy, great beginner bass) but I was wondering if there was, is, or will every be a trans black Stingray...photos if possible

trans black is gorgeous no doubt..it used to be on the EVH guitars but i dont think we'll see it on a regular stock Ray or Sterling.I bleeb it is now one of the BFR finishes (Petrucci BFR F1 guitar) so maybe there will be basses in the trans black BFR guise too

No, I've never seen trans black on a Stingray. I agree, that would be stunning. I've seen trans black over fancier tops like quilted maple, but it would look incredible over a nice ash body. I have an '87 Stingray body in trans red that may be getting refinished - you've given me a great idea!

I was a Trans Black Stingray for Halloween two years ago.

I was abroad once but preferred being a man.
