Hi all,
I know this is a little OT since Ernie Ball does'nt make a travel guitart that I am aware of but this forum seems to have some intelligent people and furthermore i have been playing a silouette for years and years now i figured i'd join up and post a question

i am in need of a decent travel guitar, so i have a couple questions for those of you in the know.

first of all what is it like traveling through the airports with a guitar these days? any hassles?

next, what is a good travel ELECTRIC guitar for a reasonable price? they seem to be all over ebay. i'd like the traveler speedster but 300 is too much there.
here are a few i am looking at, first one isn't really an option but i am just throwing it out there

speedster kit

I have a Speedster. I've taken it on 3 plane trips so far, 2 post 9/11. I love it and have used it on vaca to keep my chops up. It's a liitle weird because of its shape but it does the job. I've had one problem with it going thru security because I had some replacement strings in the side pocket and they wanted to open it up. I think the string loooked like wires and they got a litttle worried. I packed my strings in my checked bagged last time and I had no hassles bringing the travel guitar onto the plane. Hope this helps a little.
