Saw Travis Larson Band play last night just outside of D.C. Great show, highly entertaining, and fantastic musicianship. He opened for Tony MacAlpine (who was also phenomal... and my current guitar instructor
). Travis played his "broken neck" JP BFR the entire show.
Travis' bass player is Jennifer Young, who is wicked. Her tone was so perfectly complimenting to Travis' tone, and her note selection on some of the sections was beautiful and, again, complimented the music perfectly. She played her Blue Dawn Sterling.
TLB also played a cool rendition of "Georgia on my Mind," which was awesome and ironic since my wife and I flew in from vacationing in Atlanta earlier that day just to make this show.
There is a short video of the gig on the Travis Larson Band Facebook page.
The opening band was LoNero. They were good- 3 guitars, 2 were playing EBMM- a JP7 BFR & JP13, and an Axis.
Tony was great, too... I mean, really flawless and brilliant. His drummer now is Aquiles Priester, who was ridiculous.
Here are a couple shots from last night-
