Tremolo arm and Mono Case

It’s been said that you can leave the tremolo arm on the guitar while storing it in the Mono Case. I however experience that the arm is touched and lowers the string tension just before it closes. I’m talking about a Silhouette Special. So I will take the tremolo off before put it in the case.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Interesting nobody removes it!

I ask because I heard some day it’s better to keep the neck on tension (so with strings on tune)

Otoh it’s just a bit loosing the tension, so I leave it on also from now on.
Thanks!
