It's really good..
Compared to my JP6, the JPXI neck definitely felt slicker.. I was a bit skeptical about the med-jumbo frets, but it's a perfect combination with the thinner neck profile and flat radius. IMO the feel is comparable to old Ibanez "super wizard" neck, which is the thinnest, fastest neck from Ibanez. It's like shredder's dream neck.
The sound was quite different as well, the JPXI was smoother and full-bodied. It somehow felt more "liquid" at the same level of gain. Pickup heights were the same on both guitars (stock). The JP6 sounded more "raw", more midrange crunch. I'm not saying the JPXI sounds superior, just different.
Both are amazing guitars, I'm happy with my JP6, but I'm really interested in getting a BFR/X JP in the future.
I hope this mini-review helps anyone trying to decide between the two. :)
