I just purchased a Musicman Stingray a week or so ago. I'm a lefty so they are hard to come by around here. I was so excited to find a play one I bought it right away. Now I'm having an issue getting any tones that I want. I can turn any of the EQ knobs and there is no change in the sound. I changed the battery and still the same. There is even no change when I take the battery out completely.

Question is: Am I doing something wrong or is that all I get with a Stingray? I've heard about the versatility in the sound but this is the first and only one I've played, so I have no other reference point.

First thing that comes to mind is that the battery box is disconnected. If it's less than week old, I'd take it back to the dealer and find out if they have a QUALIFIED person to have a look at the battery box connections.

If not, definitely contact Customer Service.
