Hello guys!

This is a question for piezo users - I got a TRS cable from Monster some time ago. It is a solidly build cable, but unfortunately there is a audible loss of high frequencies on the magnetic side of things. The piezo signal is fine. I also tried with a cheap mono cable and the magnetic highs are bell-like. Therefore my conclusion is there is something wrong with the Monster cable.

I have some TRS Mogami on order to build a custom TRS cable, but also wanted to get your recommendations regarding cable brands.

Thanks in advance

Instrument cable has a distributed capacitance over it's length. A high capacitance loading your pickups affects the resonant peak of your output, effectively robbing a bit of high end.

If it's an issue, look for some TRS cable that's low capacitance. I'll have to check ... I made a few that were good, think I used Mogami as well.

I use one of the EB cables that Pete mentioned with no problems. I also have a Planet Waves 10 footer that works fine as well. I also have a Planet waves TRS to Y on the other end (2 mono) that works well also. Not sure if either is still available though. Been using them for a while.
